Rim of the World Interpretive Association
                About

Rim of the World Interpretive Association (ROWIA) is a nonprofit volunteer organization founded in 1982 to foster a better understanding of the natural history and resources of the San Bernardino Mountains. ROWIA manages Heaps Peak Arboretum, a botanical garden that presents and preserves native trees, shrubs, wildflowers and other plants. In productive partnership with the U.S. Forest Service, ROWIA maintains a nearly mile-long nature trail, creates and provides educational information about the forest, staffs an on-site information booth and regularly updates signage throughout the 30-acre site.
